Here is the upmarket pride of the fleet. The Pro Champ is made of R-Cell contructed core with a neoprene rubber wrapped deck and a hard plastic slick on the bottom. This is more of a performance board, being five-foot-four long, 19 inches wide and three inches thick. A three-fin thruster set-up of soft urethane fins allows for more radical turns and more manoeuvrability in those critical situations. Shaped more like a conventional surfboard, this is the one that will pop the eyes of the kids when they walk in the shop. Itís not as good a learning tool as the Original, but sometimes itís hard to convince a kid what is best for him. You might have trouble keeping big brother off this one during black ball.
